Bertha Knezacek (née Radil) (5 December 1890 - 28 December 2000) was a validated American supercentenarian who was one of the oldest known people in Nebraska when she died. Her case is currently validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG).
Biography
Bertha Knezacek was born Bertha Radil in Nebraska, USA, on 5 December 1890. She was one of several children born to Joseph Frank and Mary (née Krajnik) Radil. Her father was born in what is now Czech Republic (then known as Bohemia).
Bertha married Joseph T. Knezacek on 7 October 1913. The couple didn't have any children. Bertha was a member of the Ord United Methodist Church, the ZCBJ Lodge and the Order of the Eastern Star for more than 50 years each. Her father Joseph died on 4 July 1930 at the age of 76. Her mother Mary died on 16 March 1942 aged 82.
Bertha's husband Joseph Knezacek died in 1982 after 68/69 years of marriage. All of her siblings also died before her.
Bertha Knezacek passed away in Valley, Nebraska, USA on 28 December 2000 at the age of 110 years, 23 days. She was survived by a number of nieces and nephews.
