Bertha Pautz (née Boomer; 20 December 1885 – 16 October 1996) was a validated American supercentenarian.

Biography[]

Bertha Boomer was born in Plano, Kendall County, Illinois, to Martin and Anna (née Kangley) Boomer. She had 5 other siblings. When she was 3 years old, the family relocated to a farm near Fairview.

On 10 April 1907, she married Ferdinand Pautz and moved to Kansas. He died in 1942, and she subsequently moved in with her father (who was 82 at the time). At age 103, she moved to a nursing home in Nehama County, Kansas.

Bertha Pautz died on 16 October 1996, at the age of 110 years, 301 days. Her sister, Grace Sawyer, lived to be 100.
