Berthe Courtemanche Verdone (11 May 1914 – 31 December 2025) was a Canadian supercentenarian whose age is validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG). At the time of her death, she was the oldest known living person in Canada.

Biography

Berthe Courtemanche Verdone was born in Quebec, Canada on 11 May 1914. At some point in her life, she married Pierre Verdone.

In May 2024, she celebrated her 110th birthday and became a supercentenarian. She was also visited by Canadian politician Mario Beaulieu.

Following the death of 113-year-old Margaret Romans on 25 October 2025, she became the oldest known living person in Canada.

Berthe Courtemanche died in the neighbourhood of Pointe-aux-Trembles in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, on 31 December 2025, at the age of 111 years, 234 days.
