Bertie Lillian Thierry (née Bishop; 22 April 1880 – 8 February 1992) was an American supercentenarian whose age is validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG).
Biography[]
Bertie Tierry was born as Bertie Lillian Bishop on 22 April 1880 in Belleville, Illinois to parents Woodard Lambert Bishop and Mary Ann (née Tucker) Bishop. She had 3 siblings. She married Albert Bliss Thierry on 22 August 1897 in Jefferson County, Illinois. The couple had 8 children. Her husband died in 1963 at the age of 89.
Bertie Tierry died in Jefferson County, Illinois on 8 February 1992 at the age of 111 years, 292 days. Her daughter, Chloe Thierry (1898–1994) lived to be either 95 or 96 and her son, Charles Eugene Thierry (1918–2018) lived to be 100.
