Blanca Luisa Cuitino Barbier (Spanish: Cuitiño; 25 August 1910 – 20 March 2022) was an Uruguayan supercentenarian whose age is validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG). At the time of her death, she was the oldest known living person in Uruguay.
Biography[]
Blanca Luisa Cuitino Barbier was born in Rosario, Uruguay, on 25 August 1910. She had four children.
She became the oldest known living person in Uruguay, following the death of Aida Carmen Gandine Dodera on 9 May 2020. In August 2020, she celebrated her 110th birthday. At that time, she had five grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.
Cuitino Barbier died in her house in 18 de Julio Avenue, Rosario, Uruguay, on 20 March 2022, at the age of 111 years, 207 days. Following her death, then 109-year-old Julio Augusto Varela Lopez became the oldest known living person in Uruguay.
