Biography[]
She was born in England, United Kingdom on 17 December 1901. She emigrated from England to Sydney, Australia with her family at the age of 12 in 1914. Coward was to work for most of her life as a sales assistant. After marrying at the age of 40, she had no children and said the secret to her longevity was simply "good genetics. It's just the way you're born, it's got to be."
Coward died at Mount Carmel Retirement Village in Maitland, New South Wales, Australia on 27 February 2012 at the age of 110 years, 72 days.
