Bob Edwards (15 February 1908 – 7 August 2016) was a British-New Zealand centenarian who was the oldest living man from New Zealand for the last 2 years of his life.
Biography
Edwards was born in England in 1908. His father was killed during The Battle of the Somme. Edwards moved to New Zealand when he was 19, and got a job on a farm.
Edwards married in 1930 and had three children. He eventually divorced and later married a woman named Lesley.
It was reported that Edwards was still driving at the age of 105.
Following the death of 106-year old Ian Chirnside on 21 September 2014, Edwards was the oldest living New Zealander man. He died on 7 August 2016 at the age of 108. Howard Buss succeeded him as the oldest living man in New Zealand.
