Robert Alonzo Henry (29 December 1907 – 16 October 2017) was an American centenarian.
Biography
Henry was born in Lincoln City, Ohio, USA on 29 December 1907. He worked at the family farm. He finished school with an 11th grade education.
In 1928, Henry headed for California with a friend with $75 in hand. He traveled through the Berthound Pass and forded the Colorado River on a barge, ultimately ending in Los Angeles.
During World War II, Henry built B-17 and P-38 fighter aircraft for Lockheed Martin. In 1950, he moved to Yucaipa with his wife Irene and was employed as a mechanic and a service manager at the DeSoto/Plymouth car dealership in Redlands.
Henry died in San Bernardino, California, USA on 16 October 2017, at the age of 109 years, 292 days.
