Brigida Dearroyo was born in Cabo Rojo, Puerto Rico on 7 October 1888. At some point of her life, she emigrated to the United States.
In October 1998, she celebrated her 110th birthday and became a supercentenarian.
Brigida Dearroyo died in New Jersey, USA on 31 December 2000 at the age of 112 years, 85 days.
