Biography[]
Carlotta Ollino was born in Ventimiglia, Liguria, Italy. In 1910, she married a Count and diplomat named Carlo Bembo. She automatically became a Countess as a result of the marriage. They had a son in 1912. Due to Carlo’s profession, the couple lived in China for several years.
At the time of her 110th birthday in August 1997, it was reported that Carlotta was doing well health-wise and still lived at her own house (with the assistance of a housekeeper since 1953). Some of her favourite pastimes included watching television and listening to radio, two inventions that didn’t even exist when Carlotta was born.
Ollino died in Forli, Emilia-Romagna, Italy on 1 December 1997 at the age of 110 years, 113 days.
