Carmela Urizzi-Callede (29 September 1903 – 1 October 2013) was an Italian-French supercentenarian whose age is validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG).

Biography[]

Carmela Urizzi was born in Visco, Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Austria-Hungary (now Italy) on 29 September 1903. She had 5 brothers. She married Gino Montina and had two children: Edda Ibanez (born 1930) and Marcel Montina. Later, she joined her husband who had migrated to France around 1933 and who died in 1935 from tuberculosis. She married Robert Callede.

Carmela Callede died in Montauban, Occitanie, France on 1 October 2013 at the age of 110 years, 2 days. She is survived by one son Marcel Montina; one daughter Edda Ibanez; three grandchildren Patricia, Corinne and Fabien; three great-grandchildren Alexandre, Frederic and Iliana; and one great-great-granddaughter Louise.
