Carmela Villani (1 May 1909 – 25 October 2020) was an Italian supercentenarian whose age is validated by the Gerontology Research Group.
Biography[]
Carmela Villani was born in Apulia, Italy, on 1 May 1909. Her mother, Elvira, lived to the age of 105. Villani's husband died at the age of 48.
Villani turned 110 in May 2019. She became the oldest living person in Apulia after Maria Giuseppa Robucci's death on 18 June 2019.
Villani died in Alezio, Apulia, Italy, on 25 Oct 2020, at the age of 111 years, 177 days. At the time of her death, she was the second-oldest living person in Italy, behind Maria Oliva.
