Caroline May (4 September 1880 – 16 October 1990) was an American supercentenarian, whose age is validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG). Note that the GRG lists her as born in Virginia.
Biography
Caroline Ola May was born in Marion County, West Virginia, USA on 4 September 1880 to parents Sylvanus and Louisa (née Sigler) May as the second of 11 children. She never married nor had any children.
Caroline May died in Fairmont, Marion, West Virginia, USA on 16 October 1990 aged 110 years, 42 days. Her sister, Lora Eva Stretchberry (14 July 1895 – 10 January 1999) lived to be 103.
