Caroline Merriott (2 October 1825? – 14 December 1935) was a British supercentenarian claimant.
Biography[]
Caroline Merriott was born in the United Kingdom, allegedly on 2 October 1825. During her life she was working as a laundress. If her age were correct, she would have been the oldest living person in the United Kingdom from 11 June 1933 (the death of Eliza Roff) until her own death two and a half years later. The oldest authenticated people in the UK at this time were Ellen Palmer and Rachel MacArthur.
Caroline Merriott died on 14 December 1935 in Thornton Heath, near Croydon, England, United Kingdom at the alleged age of 110 years, 73 days.
