Catharina Meessen (8 March 1914 – 7 February 2020) was a Belgian centenarian who was the last known person born in Neutral Moresnet.
Biography[]
Catharina Meessen was born in Neutral Moresnet (now Belgium) on 8 March 1914. She wad the oldest of 10 children. She lived with her daughter Anne. She was visited by Mayor Louis Goebbels to celebrate her 100th birthday.
She became the the last known surviving person born in Neutral Moresnet, following the death of 103-year-old Alwine Hackens-Paffen on 26 October 2016.
Catharina Meessen died in Kelmis, Liege, Belgium on 7 February 2020 at the age of 105 years, 336 days.
