Charles Edward Shebanek (9 September 1883 – 27 August 1994) was a validated American supercentenarian.
Biography[]
Charles Shebanek was born in Iowa, USA to parents Paul and Rosa Shebanek, who were both immigrants from the present-day Czech Republic. He was a World War 1 veteran. After the war, he married Ethel Maud Price and the couple relocated to Kansas. The couple had six children in total, five daughters and one son. He worked at a school called St. David for over 23 years.
Charles Shebanek died in Fairfield, Solano County, California, USA on 27 August 1994 at the age of 110 years, 352 days. One of his younger sisters, Emma, lived to be 105 years old. At the time of his death, he was the oldest known living American-born man and the second-oldest known living man in the United States, behind Christian Mortensen.
