Longevity claimant |
Che Wadengi binte Mohamed Amin (1844/1845? – 27 October 1961) was an Indonesian-born Singaporean longevity claimant whose claim to the WOP title is currently unvalidated by the Guinness World Records (GWR).
Biography[]
Che Wadengi migrated to Singapore with her husband at the age of 16 and reportedly lived there for 100 years.
Her husband died shortly after the war (presumably World War II), and their four children had died before the war. Present at her burial were her 78 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.
According to the Singapore Book of Records, the oldest person in Singapore's history was Yam Karicho, who died on 30 August 1977 at the claimed age of 114. But if Che Wadengi's claim is to be believed, she would have been the world's oldest person when she passed.
