Chiyoko Yagita [Japanese: 八木田ちよこ] (22 June 1912 – fl.1 December 2023) was a Japanese supercentenarian whose age is currently unvalidated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG).
Biography[]
Chiyoko Yagita was born in Japan on 22 June 1912. In June 2022, she celebrated her 110th birthday.
On 1 December 2022, Yagita was reported as the oldest living person in Saitama City by city statistics; her predecessor, Haruno Kubo, went to limbo.
Chiyoko Yagida was last confirmed alive in Saitama City, Saitama Prefecture, Japan on 1 December 2023, at the age of 111 years and 162 days. On 1 January 2024, she went to limbo, as the oldest living person in Saitama City was reported to be a 109-year-old woman by city statistics.
