Choe Pu Young [Korean: 최부용] (2 November 1897? – fl.19 March 2010) was a North Korean supercentenarian claimant whose age is currently unvalidated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG).
Biography[]
Choe Pu Young claimed that she was born in Pyongwon County, South Pyongan, Korean Empire (now North Korea) on 2 November 1897.
On the day of her claimed 110th birthday in 2007, Choe received a present from North Korea's leader, Kim Jong-il.
Choe Pu Young was last reported to be alive in Samsong-ri, Samsok District, Pyongyang, North Korea on 19 March 2010, at the claimed age of 112 years, 137 days. If her claimed age were validated, she would be the oldest known person ever from North Korea.
