Choki Miyagi [Japanese: 宮城朝輝] (15 November 1904 – 7 August 2016) was a validated Japanese supercentenarian. At the time of his death, he was believed to be the second-oldest living man in Japan, behind Masamitsu Yoshida, and the third-oldest living man in the world, behind Israel Kristal and Masamitsu Yoshida.
Biography[]
He lived in Shuri, Okinawa, throughout his whole life. At the time of his 107th birthday in 2011, he had a living daughter aged 79 years. He could play the Shamisen instrument. He was also the oldest living person in his prefecture.
Choki Miyagi died on 7 August 2016 at the age of 111 years, 266 days.
