Christine Jodoin (née Dagenais; 17 November 1894 – 11 March 2005) was a Canadian-American supercentenarian whose age has been validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG).
Biography[]
Christine Jodoin was born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada on 17 November 1894 to Thomas Dagenais and Odila Brien. She was educated at a convent for young girls where she excelled in math, piano, and singing. In 1917, she moved to the United States and married George Jodain (1892-1983) in Princeton, New Jersey. They had three children: Estelle (1918), Bernard (1920-2001) and John. They built and worked in the first community store on Miner Rd. in Hypoluxo, Florida, where they were very active in community affairs.
Christine Jodoin died in Boca Raton, Florida, United States on 11 March 2005 at the age of 110 years, 114 days. She was survived by her daugher Estelle, several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
