Christine Spero (née Mandato; 10 October 1912 – 24 February 2023) was an American supercentenarian whose age was validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG) in 2023.
Biography[]
Christine Spero was born on 10 October 1912 in Brooklyn, New York, USA to Italian immigrants, Nicola and Giuseppa "Josephine" (née Banizio) Mandato. She married James Spero in May 1936. They had two children, Barbara and James, Jr. Her husband died in March 2001.
Spero died on 24 February 2023 in Setauket, New York, USA at the age of 110 years, 137 days, leaving to mourn her two children, two grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
