Christine Steinhauer (née Trutzenberg; 12 August 1908 – 2 December 2018) was a German supercentenarian whose age was validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG) in 2022.

Biography[]

Steinhauer was born as Christine Trutzenberg in Neuss, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, on 12 August 1908. She lived in that city until old age, when she moved to a nursing home in Niederkrüchten.

Steinhauer celebrated her 110th birthday in 2018. She was noted for her over-sixty-year membership to the Eifel Club, which organizes hikes, bike rides, and cultural celebrations, among other activities. Because the Neuss chapter of the Eifel Club also turned 110 in 2018, Steinhauer received a green merit pin. She was reported to be physically fresh and mentally alert on the occasion.

Steinhauer died in Niederkrüchten, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, on 2 December 2018, at the age of 110 years, 112 days.
