Corine Walter (5 September 1902 – 24 June 2013) was an American supercentenarian whose age is validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG).
Biography[]
Corine Walter was born in Oglethorpe County, Georgia, USA on 5 September 1902. She had 10 children. She was able to take care of herself until the age of 100.
In September 2012, Walter celebrated her 110th birthday and became a supercentenarian. At the time, only two of her children (Louise Gresham and Lizzie Stroud) were still alive.
Corine Walter died in Athens, Georgia, USA on 24 June 2013 at the age of 110 years, 292 days.
Recognition[]
At the time of her death, she was among the oldest known living people in the U.S. state of Georgia.
Her age was verified by Donald Sensabaugh, Anson Davies, Robert Young, and Waclaw Jan Kroczek, and (posthumously) validated by the GRG on 23 April 2015.
