Czeslawa Lasiewicz [Polish: Czesława Łasiewicz] (14 January 1907 – 29 May 2018) was a validated Polish supercentenarian.

Biography

Czeslawa Lasiewicz was born in Podlaskie, Russian Empire (now Poland) on 14 January 1907. On 30 October 2017, she was recognized as the second-oldest living resident of Poland behind Tekla Juniewicz and the oldest living person in Podlaskie Voivodeship.

With Mrs. Lasiewicz celebrating 110th birthday on 14 January 2017, a new record of three simultaneously living supercentenarians in Poland was set. There were living: Jadwiga Szubartowicz (aged 111), Tekla Juniewicz (aged 110, later 111) and Czeslawa Lasiewicz (aged 110). The period ended with Mrs. Szubartowicz passing on 20 July 2017.

On 14 January 2018, Czeslawa Lasiewicz turned 111 years of age as the first person in the history of Podlaskie Voivodeship. On her birthday, she was visited by Waclaw Jan Kroczek, GRG Correspondent for Poland and Nordic Countries. She passed away on 29 May 2018 at age 111 years, 135 days.

The supercentenarian case of Czesława Łasiewicz was verified by Waclaw Jan Kroczek, GRG Correspondent for Poland and Nordic Countries, and Marta Zawadzka, in close cooperation with members of the Łasiewicz family, and validated by the GRG on 13 June 2021.
