Daphne Eden Brann (neé Twigg; 4 August 1890 – 10 March 2001) was an American supercentenarian whose age is validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG). At the time of her death, she was the oldest Assembly of God minister.

Biography

Daphne Twigg was born in Oldtown, Maryland, USA on 4 August 1890. Her parents were Horace Twigg and Lourenna (neé Middleton) Twigg. She had 11 siblings.

She married Rev. Oliver Brann in 1916. They both became ordained ministers in the Assembly of God in 1917. The couple had three children: Rev Kenneth Brann Sr. (1917–1997), Leona "Margo" Calabrese (1919–2012) and Naomi Helsel (born 1921).

Together, the couple pioneered a number of Assembly of God churches in Ohio and Maryland before he retired in 1950. Oliver died a year later. She remained active in the church and moved to Florida permanently in 1985.

At the age of 104 she became one of the oldest religious pilgrims to visit the holy sites of Israel and the Middle East. Her 109th and 110th birthday parties were held at the First Assembly of God Church on Trouble Creek Road in New Port Richey.

In November 2000, at the age of 110, she reportedly voted that year's US presidential election.

Brann died in Holiday, Pasco, Florida, USA on 10 March 2001 at the age of 110 years, 218 days. She was survived by two daughters, seven grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
