Delbert "Del" Marlow (12 February 1916 – 28 January 2025) was an American centenarian who had been the oldest known living man in the US state of Pennsylvania from the death of King Kriksa until his own death. He was also the second-oldest known living man born in the US state of Pennsylvania at the time of his death, behind Chester Meros.
Biography[]
Delbert "Del" Marlow was born on 12 February 1916 in Schuylkill County Pennsylvania to a coal miner Longevity runs in his family His mother, Minnie, lived to 96. His oldest sister, Sarah, 101. Sister Martha lived to be 104, and sister Lorraine lived to be 99. At some point in life, he moved to Warminister, Bucks County, Pennsylvania. He married his wife Dorothy sometime before Ww2 a marriage that would last 66 years before her death the marriage produced Two kids two grandkids and 4 Great-Grandkids (as of 2024) he worked in the coal mines and other steel related occupations which prevented him from having to serve in Ww2 he retired in 1981. He became the oldest living man in Pennsylvania on 19 February 2024 when 108-year-old King Kirksa died.
On 12 February 2024, he celebrated his 108th birthday. His party was attended by Pennsylvania state rep Brian Munroe who gave him a citation from the Pennsylvania house of representatives congratulating him on the milestone.
Del Marlow died in Warminister, Bucks County, Pennsylvania, USA on 28 January 2025 at the age of 108 years, 351 days.
