Della Pope (née Bales; 9 March 1891 – 17 November 2001) was an American supercentenarian whose age is validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG).

Biography[]

Della Pope was born as Della Bales in Kentucky, USA on 9 March 1891 to Nathan and Perlina (Poynter) Bales. She had at least seven siblings.

She was married to Charles Pope (1886–1946), with whom she had four children: Arthur, Edith, Ruth (who died in infancy), and Cleta. Her husband died in 1946.

Della Pope died in Laurel County, Kentucky, USA on 17 November 2001 at the age of 110 years, 253 days.
