Dharmie Deo (born 27 April 1914) is a Trinidadian supercentenarian whose age is currently unvalidated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG). If her age is true, she is currently the oldest living person in Trinidad and Tobago.
Biography[]
Dharmie Deo was born in Penal, Trinidad, Trinidad and Tobago on 27 April 1914. Her father, recognized by the name of Joot, was transported to Trinidad without any further notice. Deo spent her life gardening, and she would sing at weddings with old friends. She partakes in Indian shows, such as the Davali Nigar. She was sharp until her late nineties, due to deteriorating health, loss of memory and loss of eyesight.
In April 2024, she celebrated her 110th birthday and became a supercentenarian. At the age of 110, she had 7 children (6 deceased), 40 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and 20 great-great grandchildren.
She became the oldest known living person in Trinidad and Tobago, following the death of 110-year-old Rita Smyke on 21 June 2024.
Dharmie Deo currently lives in Penal, Trinidad, Trinidad and Tobago at the age of 111 years, 196 days.
