Dorothea Duisberg (née Weyhausen; 7 October 1912 – 2 October 2023) was a German-born Chilean supercentenarian whose age is validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG).
Biography[]
Early Life[]
Dorothea Duisberg was born as Dorothea Weyhausen in Bremen, Free Hanseatic City of Bremen, Germany on 7 October 1912. In 1948, she emigrated to Argentina.
Later Life[]
Duisberg has enjoyed traveling, especially in her later years. In June 2013, at the age of 100, she traveled to Croatia. In January 2019, at the age of 106, she traveled to a beach in Argentina.
In 2022, Duisberg emigrated from Argentina to Chile, where she has resided ever since.
In October 2022, Duisberg celebrated her 110th birthday and became a supercentenarian.
Dorothea Duisberg died in Santiago de Chile, Chile on 2 October 2023 at the age of 110 years, 360 days, just five days short of her 111th birthday.
