Dorothy P. Redifer (6 November 1914 – 13 May 2024) was an American centenarian.
Biography[]
Dorothy Redifer was born on 6 November 1914 in Baltimore, Maryland, USA to a strict christian family according to her parents – John Hudson Redifer (1880–1939) and Matilda "May" Redifer Gibson (1888–1973). Dorothy was never married, and had no children. Dorothy had a sister named Ruth Naomi Redifer (1910–1991) a brother Gilbert L. Redifer (1912–1952) and another brother Lawrence Redifer (1912–?). In the 1950s, Dorothy was a store clerk in Baltimore, Maryland. Dorothy still lived in Baltimore in 1999 until in October of 2001, Dorothy moved to Copperas Cove, Texas. Which is Where most of her cousins lived. Dorothy now lives in Stoney Brook, a senior citizen housing home in Copperas Cove. In 2014, Dorothy was on the local digital, and physical newspaper for her 100th birthday. Dorothy was then on the local newspaper again for her 107th birthday in 2021. Dorothy was then again interviewed, but this time on the local news for her 108th birthday last year 2022. At the time, Dorothy was still alive and is healthy.
Dorothy Redifer died in Copperas Cove, Texas, USA on 13 May 2024 at the age of 109 years, 189 days.
