Redeemer Doshie Peoples (née Williams; 19 March 1908 – 3 April 2018) was an American supercentenarian whose age has been validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG) in 2022.
Biography[]
Doshie Peoples claimed to be born in Monroe, Ouachita Parish, Louisiana, USA on 19 March 1908 (claimed 1907), the fourth of five children of James Williams and Della (née Miller) Williams. As an uncle (a pastor) had named her Redeemer at birth, she asked for permission to later change her name to Doshie legally. Doshie marrie Willie Peoples and the couple moved to California.
Doshie Peoples died in Oakland, California, USA on 3 April 2018 at the claimed age of 110 years, 15 days (claimed 111 years, 15 days).

She claimed to have been born in 1909, but the family believed her actual birth year was 1907, and that she changed that to 1909 to appear the same age as her husband.
