Duranord Veillard (28 February 1907 – 1 June 2018) was a Haitian-American supercentenarian whose age is validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG). He had one of the longest marriages in the world, at more than 80 years.

Biography

Veillard was born in St. Louis du Sud, Haiti. He studied law and lived in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. He moved to Spring Valley, New York, USA in the 1960s. He got a job as a lab technician at a local hospital, where he worked for 10 years.

He died in Suffern, New York, on 1 June 2018 at the age of 111 years, 93 days.

Marriage

Duranord and his wife, Jeanne, were married for over 80 years. In 2015, it was reported that they married in November 1932 and that Jeanne was 105, but in 2017 it was reported that they were married on 29 November 1934 and that Jeanne was 106. It was also reported in 2017 that they had four children, 12 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren.

Jeanne died on 12 November 2018 at age of 108 years, 195 days, having been born on 1 May 1910.
