Eberhard Voigt (23 April 1911 – 2 September 2019) was a Polish-born German centenarian who was the second-oldest known man in Germany at the time of his death.

Biography[]

Voigt was born on 23 April 1911 in Gumbinnen, Pomerania, Poland. His birthplace was occupied by the Russian army in 1945 and renamed Gusev in 1946; it is now in Kaliningrad Oblast, Russia. On 23 April 2011, Voigt turned 100.

After the death of Walter Sturzebecher on 14 July 2018, he may have become the third-oldest living man in Germany. After the death of Gerhart Schneider on 18 December 2018, he may have become the second-oldest living man in Germany.

Voigt died in Dillenburg, Hesse, Germany, on 2 September 2019, aged 108 years, 132 days. At the time, he was allegedly the second-oldest man in Germany, behind Gustav Gerneth.
