Edna Smith (30 August 1899 – 15 May 2010) was an American supercentenarian whose age is validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG).
Biography[]
Edna Smith was born in Wisconsin, USA on 30 August 1899. She won medals in the Senior Olympics.
Smith's age was verified by Filipe Prista Lucas and Robert Young, and validated by the GRG on 22 April 2010. Some time before her death, she caught pneumonia, but recovered.
Edna Smith died of heart failure in Louisiana, USA on the afternoon of 15 May 2010, at the age of 110 years, 258 days.
