Edward C. Hoffman (24 August 1905 – 7 November 2013) was an American centenarian who was one of the oldest known living men in the United States at the time of his death.

Biography[]

Edward Hoffman was born on 24 August 1905 in Waterbury, Connecticut, USA, where he also grew up. His wife was Margaret M. (née Holmberg) Hoffman.

At some point in his life, Hoffman moved to Massachusetts. He resided in Dennis for 17 years, Allston for 40 years, and Canton for 17 years.

Hoffman worked as an upholsterer for many years until his retirement in 1973. He was very active with the Boy Scouts of America for 35 years, and was also the Former District Commissioner of the Boston Council. He was awarded the Silver Beaver for his longtime dedication.

Edward Hoffman died on 7 November 2013 in a nursing home in Wakefield, Massachusetts, USA, at the age of 108 years, 75 days.
