Eleftheria Vrettou [Ελευθερία Βρεττού; Elefthería Vrettoú] (12 April 1913 (claimed 12 April 1903) – July 2021) was a Greek centenarian who was one of the oldest known living people in Greece at the time of her death.
Biography[]
Eleftheria Vrettou was born in Troiannata, Kefalonia, Greece on 12 April 1913 (claimed 1903). She moved to Lefkada, where she married.
In 2018, she celebrated her 105th birthday (claimed 115th). On 12 January 2021 at the age of 107 (claimed 117), she got vaccinated for COVID-19.
Vrettou died in Nea Ionia, Athens, Greece in July 2021 at the age of 108 years, 80-86 days (claimed 118 years, 80-86 days). She was buried on 8 July 2021.
