Eleonora Casagrande-Torre (9 July 1886 – 6 June 1997) was an Italian supercentenarian whose age is validated by the Gerontology Research Group.

Biography[]

Casagrande was born in July 1886. She was the oldest of 80 centenarians in Genoa who voted in the 1995 Italian regional elections on 23 April 1995, then aged 108. Casagrande turned 110 in 1996 and became the oldest living Italian when Valentino Stella died on 1 January 1997. Casagrande died at the age of 110 years, 332 days on 6 June 1997. Her title was passed onto Maria Addolorata de Vitis.
