Elisabeth Johanna Heck (née Stierle; 11 July 1893 – 3 February 2005) was a validated German supercentenarian who was the second-oldest living person in Germany at the time of her death, after Hermann Dornemann.

Biography

Elisabeth Heck was born as Elisabeth Johanna Stierle in Eppingen, Germany on 11 July 1893. The family moved to Frankfurt in 1899 where she spent her childhood and got to know her future husband Heinrich Heck, who was born 15 May 1889. They married on 10 February 1923, and in 1930 she gave birth to their only child, Hannelore Heck. Thereafter, the family moved to Königstein in 1938. Heinrich Heck died in 1949 after suffering a heart attack, and her only daughter Hannelore died in an automobile accident few years after, in 1956.

Elisabeth Heck turned 110 years of age in 2003 and died on 3 February 2005 in Falkenstein (part of Königstein im Taunus), Germany at the age of 111 years, 207 days.
