Eliza Roff (10 July 1824 – 11 June 1933) was a British centenarian who was the oldest known living person in the United Kingdom at the time of her death. She was also the last known British person born in 1824.
Biography[]
Eliza Roff was born in the United Kingdom on 10 July 1824. She became the oldest living person in the country on 7 February 1931, following the death of 107-year-old Ann Russell of Hampshire. Roff held the title for over two years until her death on 11 June 1933 at the age of 108 years, 336 days. Her successor as the oldest person in the United Kingdom was Ellen Palmer (1827–1935).
