Ella Ruth Gantt (née Allison; 30 November 1886?/1888 – 28 October 2001) was a validated American supercentenarian, she may have been reached the age of 114, she might have been the world's oldest person at the time of her death.
Biography[]
Ella Ruth Allison was born in White County, Georgia on 30 November 1886?/1888 as the daughter of Benjamin and Alma Ida (Alexander) Allison. She married Oscar Langston in Georgia around 1909 and had four children: Alma, Geneva, Freddie and Joseph. She was widowed in 1947. After the death of her husband she remarried to Winfred Talmadge Gantt, on 13 January 1952. He died in 1972. Ella Gantt died in Gainesville, Hall, Georgia on 28 October 2001, aged 112/114? years, 332 days.

Ella Gantt was verified by the SSA study to have been 112 years but Ella herself claimed to be 114, which is supported by the 1900 US Census.
