Ellen Jurick (née Rebrovich; 15 July 1895 – 13 July 2009) was an American supercentenarian whose age is validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG). She may have been the oldest person in the US state of Michigan at the time of her death.
Biography[]
Ellen Jurick was born as Ellen Rebrovich in Pennsylvania, United States, on 15 July 1895, although other sources state 1896 and 1897. She was the sixth of seven children born to Joseph and Annie Rebrovich, who were Austro-Hungarian immigrants from present-day Slovakia. She later married Frank Jurick, who died in 1996 aged either 99 or 101 (sources differ). They had a daughter, Thelma, who married John Novak.
Ellen Jurick died in Michigan, United States, on 13 July 2009 at the alleged age of 113 years, 363 days two days before her claimed 114th birthday.
