Ellen Margaret May Kay (31 May 1896 – 29 June 2006) was an Australian supercentenarian whose age has been validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG). She may have been the oldest living person in South Australia at the time of her death.
Biography[]
Ellen Kay was born in Adelaide, South Australia on 31 May 1896. Her parents were Frederick James Lomax Kay and Delia (née Horan) Kay. She never married nor had children, and lived in Adelaide all her life.
She died in North Plympton, Adelaide, South Australia, Australia on 29 June 2006 at the age of 110 years, 29 days. She was the second-oldest living person in Australia behind Myra Nicholson of Victoria.
