Elzbieta Rogala [Polish: Elżbieta Rogala] (3 November 1911 – 23 March 2022) was a Polish supercentenarian whose age is validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG).

Biography[]

Elzbieta Rogala was born on 3 November 1911 in Zamosc near Chojnice in the Pomeranian Voivodeship, Poland (then a part of the German Empire). In the first years of her life the family moved to Krostkow in the Greater Poland Voivodeship. She married her husband Franciszek in November 1937 and they lived in Bydgoszcz. Her husband died shortly after the World War Two. The marriage had three children.

In 2021, at the age of 109, Rogala contracted COVID-19 during the coronavirus pandemic. However, by 18 February 2021 she had successfully recovered, making her one of the oldest known survivors of the disease.

In November 2021, she celebrated her 110th birthday and became a supercentenarian.

Elzbieta Rogala died in Chelmno, Kuyavia-Pomerania Voivodeship, Poland on 23 March 2022 at the age of 110 years, 140 days.
