Emilia Borchert (6 December 1910 – 6 December 2020) was a Polish supercentenarian who is validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG)
Biography[]
Emilia Borchert was born in Białystok, Russian Empire (now Białystok, Podlaskie Voivodeship, Poland) on 6 December 1910 N. S. (23 November 1910 O. S.) In 1932, she graduated from the Warsaw Nursing School. In 1937, she married Edward Borchert and two children: Marek (born 1938) and Maria (born 1944). Between 1937-1952 she lived in Sosnowiec, Silesia Voivodeship. Since 1953, she worked in Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital in Warsaw and later in Clinic of Wola Hospital - until she was 75 years old.
In 2017, she became the oldest living resident of Warsaw when Irena Smialowska moved from Warsaw to Legionowo.
Emilia Borchert died in Warsaw, Masovian Voivodeship, Poland on 6 December 2020, her 110th birthday.
