Emma Albima Prosser (née Wood; 11 October 1892 – 1 April 2003) was an American supercentenarian whose age is validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG).
Biography[]
Emma Prosser was born in Ontario County, New York, USA on 11 October 1892. Her parents were Edwin Wood and Carrie (née Haney) Wood. She had four siblings.
She married Chester Prosser in Ontario, New York, USA on 21 May 1919. The couple had five children: Doris Rainbow (born 1920), Janice McLaughlin (1921–2019), Jean Anderson (1925–2019), Embert Prosser (1926–1952), Gordon Prosser (1928–2020). She got widowed in 1974.
Emma Prosser died in Fairport, New York, USA on 1 April 2003 at the age of 110 years, 172 days. She is survived by four children Doris Rainbow, Janice McLaughlin, Jean Anderson, Gordon Prosser; one son-in-law Jim Anderson; one daughter-in-law Norma Prosser; 9 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
