Emma Robinson (née Tucker; born 9 February 1914) is an American supercentenarian whose age is validated by Gerontology Research Group (GRG). She is currently the oldest known living person in the US state of Alabama.
Biography[]
Emma Robinson was born on 9 February 1914 to Rufus and Pearlie Tucker in Lafayette, Chambers County, Alabama, USA. She earned degrees from Alabama State University and Alabama A&M.
She was active in the civil rights movements in Tuskegee and Montgomery, which is where she met her husband, Steven Robinson, who was a minister. They had no children. She worked as a teacher in the Talledega school system for 35 years before retiring to take care of her her husband.
After her husband died, she continued to live indepedently. She drove into her 90s and lived on her own until she was 98, when she had an aneurysm and had to move into a nursing home in Goodwater.
Following the death of 112-year-old Rosie Cook on 8 February 2025, she became the oldest known living person in the US state of Alabama.
Emma Robinson currently lives in Goodwater, Alabama, USA, at the age of 111 years, 41 days.
