Erasto Alvarado Nunez [Spanish: Núñez] (25 July 1912 – 2 February 2023) was a Mexican-born American supercentenarian whose age is validated by LongeviQuest (LQ). At the time of his death, he was the oldest known (documented) living Mexican-born man, the oldest known living man in the U.S. state of Georgia, and was also among the oldest known living men in the United States.
Biography[]
Erasto Alvarado Nunez was born in Cuaracurio, Michoacan, Mexico, on 25 July 1912. His parents were Margarito Alvarado and Matilde Nunez. He was married to Celestina Rodriguez and had seven children (five of whom predeceased him).
In 1978, Alvarado Nunez emigrated to the United States. His wife died on 1 January 2017, at the age of 100.
In July 2022, Alvarado Nunez celebrated his 110th birthday and became a supercentenarian.
Following the death of 111-year-old Francisco Juarez Iglesias on 25 October 2022, Alvarado Nunez became the oldest known (documented) living Mexican-born man.
Erasto Alvarado Nunez died in Cartersville, Georgia, USA, on 2 February 2023, at the age of 110 years, 192 days. His age was validated by LongeviQuest on 22 March 2023.
