Erva Louise Lynch (née LaMere; 8 June 1905 – 12 July 2015) is an American supercentenarian whose age is validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG).
Biography[]
Erva Lynch was born in Brockton, Massachusetts, USA on 8 June 1905, the only child of William LaMere and Mabel (née Maclean) LaMere. When she was 1½, her mother passed away during childbirth. Her father remarried Emma Scott.
She graduated high school in 1923 and worked for New England Phone as a switchboard operator. She then worked with an answering service with doctors and lawyers as clients.
She married Arthur Lynch on 30 August 1935. The couple had three children: Arthur Lynch Jr (1936–1989), Robert Lynch (1938–1992) and Carol Robertson (born 1940). She was widowed in 1967.
She later worked with Almy’s Department Store in Revere, Massachusetts. She moved to Summerfield, Florida in 2007.
Erva Lynch died in Summerfield, Florida, USA on 12 July 2015 at the age of 110 years, 34 days. Erva is survived by one daughter Carol Robertson, one son-in-law Rob Robertson, 14 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-randchildren.
