Esther Templin Miller (14 November 1906 – 18 April 2017) was an American supercentenarian whose age is validated by the Gerontology Research Group.
Biography
Miller was born in Elkhart, Indiana, USA, on 14 November 1906. She was a daughter of Wilbur and Elsie Templin. She attended Purdue University in Indiana.
At the age of 20, Miller was involved in an automobile accident in which two people were killed. She was in a car being driven by her date, who had been drinking. Miller lost her little finger in the accident and nearly lost her entire right hand.
Miller was married to notable footballer E.E. "Rip" Miller for 63 years until his death in 1991. She has three children, eight grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Miller was a concert violinist, and was a leader in the Girl Scouts. She also enjoyed playing bridge and played golf in to her 90s.
Miller died in Annapolis, Maryland, USA, on 18 April 2017 at the age of 110 years, 155 days.
